Black hair is more than “just hair.” We dedicate days to years to hairstyles of our culture, learning various techniques and styles. Our hair is an absolute essential to our overall appearance.

With this series, I digitally replicated traditional art mediums and techniques to make them look as real as possible. While integrating various art mediums to match the hairstyles; some unconventional and a play on words. More will be added to this series with every new hairstyle within the African diaspora I come across.
